Newbie here and I need to make multiple extension ring when the operator phone rings.

System is Mitel 3300

In the past with another system I used a hunt group where all extensions would ring at the same time.

Can this be done with a pickup group and will all the extensions ring?

need to know the device type of the "operator"

Multiline DNI Superset 4025 the other extensions are
a plain wireless analog set and some other Multiline DNI sets

The operator is a Multi line DNI Superset 4025.

Currently the config is call rerouting first alternative for this extension is all set to this and rerouted to a wireless analog set. They say calls are being dropped and if you dial the wireless and let it ring it does not go to voice mail. All calls are answered by the voice mail system and if a user does nothing or presses 0 they should transfer to the operator. The future will have them go to an ACD queue if they do nothing.

We want to add another Superset 4025 into an operator group of sorts and have all 3 phones ring when a call is transferred from Call Express. If not answered it should land route back to the operator VM.

I think there should be a pickup group

Simplest method, ignoring cordless analog.

Set up multicall key appearances on your 3 4025's. The DN for the multicall will be a new DN and not related to the prime lines of the sets. I recommend 3 per set for a total of 9 keys. Your Dial Zero needs to be set to dial this extension. Simplest method is to create a speed call with 0 as the dialed number and XXXX as the destination digits where XXXX represents the DN of the multicall key. Setup the new DN to route to VM on Busy/no answer. The key will only be considered busy if all 9 keys are in use at the same time. The mailbox number will match the new DN (not zero). You can create Message Lamp Indicators for the new DN on an additional key on each phone to deliver message waiting for the dial zero calls. Pressing the flashing key will access the mailbox directly.

If the cordless still needs to be in the mix, you can use the cordless ext as the multicall key and proceed as above. calls directly to the cordless will integrate with VM properly and simultaneously ring the 9 keys as well.

Good luck.

Thanks, I was able to setup multi line key assigments pointing to the operator and wireless extensions as a temporary solution untill I can work on it off hours. It was recommended to me to make the wireless analog the operator and setup key assignments for that extension on the other phones. Then it would revert back to the VM of the wireless extension if unanswered and I would program VM buttons on each of the other phones. Your solution sounds a little better though.
