Picking up lines not programmed on a phone.

Ok I have 24 incoming lines on a merlin r5. I have 12 lines for one group and 12 lines for another group. The problem is that the 2 groups start work at the same time but 1 group leaves 1/2 an hour earlier then the other. Each group has its on main dial in number so when the 1 group leaves their phone will just ring until the night service is activated.

I have tried the feature+9 and the line number the only problem is you cant see which line is ringing so you have to guess what line to pickup. Thats fine until you get multiple calls in.

Is there a way to program a button to pick up any incoming call on either side of the system?

Add a pool button for the other people's line group. It will ring for all lines in the pool.

I went into system programing and went to lines/trunks and tried to get into pools but it doesnt go into it. The system is set in key mode is that the reason I cant?

Affirmative. You have to be in hybrid/pbx to use line pools.

Group pick-up?.....Assign all the extensions in a pick-up group and use feature 88 to pick up any call in the group. This would be used only after hours.

Ok i figured out how to do this. I had some spare extensions. I know i can forward an extension to another extension so why couldnt I set a phone to forward to my phone. I used an extension from the other side and now any call that comes in from the other side rings my intercom voice button and I can answer and forward the call if needed. I have tested it and it works great it was so simple I could kick myself. Thanks for everyones help.
