Picking Sequence

Multi Bin, Lots, Hard Allocation, O.E. Bill, What are the options for printing a pulling ticket from macola. What controls order of ticket if some items are not multi or lotted but only have a picking sequence assigned, which happens to be a pulling location in the warehouse?

Mutli Bin items, Mutli Bin lotted items, none of the previouse items all on same picking ticket. How do I get a logical physical pick ticket for production.

Lets start with what you would LIKE to do, then we will come up with a solution for it. Or maybe we won't.

Also,what is a "pulling ticket"? I am assumming you mean picking ticket?

Picking ticket is what I need. We have product that ships by pallet and by case. We utilize picking sequence field to generate pick tickets. The picking sequence field in macola is a physical pulling slot in a warehouse location.
All the qoh is in this one picking sequence field. No Bins. We use this picking sequence bin as a replinshment bin and pull overstock loactons are kept on a spreadsheet.
40% moves by pallet, we want to multi-bin this product in location 1. We want to keep the other 60% not tied to bins.. but just have the picking sequence field. On the pick ticket we have two different fields representing the same function. Tell my guy where to bend over and pull his corn and how many cases is the same as a. the picking sequence field and b. (if it is mutli-bin) the bin field ture bin field in macola.

so sort that by alphanumeric sort so that the bin number and picking sequence field are pulled in a manner that results in the least amount of human movement. We would not want to break a sweat.

So if I understand corectly, you want a mixture of picking sequence and bin to sort your pick ticket?

If this is the case then you need to write a crystal report for your pick ticket, as the standard Macola pick ticket does not support mixed sorting methods.

The downside to a crystal report is that it will not update the database and change the status of the order to 4-pick ticket printed.

If I am wrong on my understanding of your needs, please let me know.

Thanks, I was at the point of resoltuion that it would be a 3rd party solution.

You could take dgillz's solution one step further and have Flexibility print the crystal picking ticket and then update the orders to status 4 so you wouldn't accidently get duplicate pick tickets.

Exact New Jersey formerly known as as IPS has an enhanced pick ticket that will execute a Crystal Report and will update the status in Macola.
