I need to pick up the complete filepath of the open excel workbook. I need this as different users have different drive mappings, but i need to write information to the same place on the server. Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Martin

You can use either of these:
Code:
ActiveWorkbook.Path
ActiveWorkbook.FullName

I don't understand why do you need the mapping? If 3 different people have 3 different mappings, it will still write to the same place on the server.

I have a routine that saves archived information from the main workbook to a new workbook, and I need the new workbook to write to the same place regardless of the mapping on peoples machines, thus enabling other people to pick up the files. The reply dsi posted is exactly what I was after.

Hope this explains things a bit better.

Yes, sorry.
I realized that after dsi posted his response. I misunderstood your question. Thought you were looking for not just the path but the disk that it maps to.
