Before we upgraded to IPO we had an avaya merlin systems, and when ever you had your phone on hold. you can go to any extension and pick it up by dialing a code and your extension. Does anyone know the process to do this in the IPO,

Thanks

On the IPO the feature is called "PARK"

in a default config

to park
place call on hold
dial *37*N# - N can be any number it is used as a refrence

to retrieve

Dial *38*N# - N is the sme ref as above.

this process can be made easier by programming buttons on the handset or using Phone manager

We use park, but the cool thing about the other feature is that lets say you were sitting two cubicles over you can even pickup you extension if heard it ringing. I want to use this because is one less step than to put it in park.
But if its not available anymore I guess I just have to get used to it.

Thanks

These are 2 different features you're requesting.

IP Guru's reply explained how to pick up a call held at another extension by using park.

The feature you're requesting in your latest post is known in IP Office as call pickup extension (for calls ringing at another extension) and is performed as described below:

*32*N# - Call Pickup Extn
Pick up the call ringing at a specific extension. When dial, N is replaced by the extension number.

It is different from Legend/Magix and is similar to Definity operation. The IP Office is not a key or hybrid key system (despite line appearances); it is a true PBX and operates like one.
