hi,
are PIC 9(08)V9(02) AND PIC 9(08).9(02) the same, in the computation perspective.
can i treat a PIC 9(08).9(02) as i would do with a
PIC 9(08)V9(02) ?

Hi Claude,

The (.) in the pic is considered a non-numeric character and since the only permissible chars are 9, V, P and S, the pic is considered a numeric edited item. The rules governing its use are the same as those discussed in your previous post.
