I have scheduled backups with Backup Exec 9.0 on Windows 2000 server. I use an external Tape Drive "Dell PowerVault 110T LTO".
I did run an Inventory test on the Device, and i did get the error message "Physical Volume Library Drive or Robot paused, offline, or disabled".
I did all the following tests:
- The device appears online on Backup Exec
- The Tape Drive appears on Device Manager, and shows working correctly
- I did reboot the tape drive and the server many times

Is their any suggestion to make the backups work?

Delete the device out of Backup Exec and install the latest Veritas Drivers foryour version of backup exec. Reboot

I've found the cause. It's my APC PowerChute that had to be updated, as explained in thread481-1129405.

Thank you for your help.
