i run an rs/6000 h70 server running Sybase ASE.
I am currently having a phoenix error while trying to dump to tape and hard disk.

Running errpt gives the following error:

identifier T C Resource Name Description

26120107 U S LIBLVM Physical Volume
defined as missing

what is the problem as my live server is down!!!

does it report which disk has gone missing ?
Are they SSA disks ?
which disk does the volume group belong to type lsvg -p vgname

if there is no physical problem with the disk , varyon the volume group which has the disk in it i.e.
varyonvg vgname

The other thing to do is ( thats if it is SSA disk)
diag
task selection
ssa service aids
link verification
check each adapter for and device with **** / ????? which meand problem with disk
