Physical server edition adding a hard drive

system = avaya server edition 11.1 physical

I have a customer already in production. They want to use media manager for recording. Can we just add the new hard drive to the server ?

I never had any luck doing that in my lab. For some reason it had to be done during ignition process.

After ignition, you log into platform view, and navigate to Settings Tab.
In settings you will see two buttons.
General
System <- Click into System.

Scroll to the bottom, and see if the new hardware was detected under Additional Hard Drive Settings.
