How do you set the Physical Partition size on rootvg when installing AIX OS from scratch (via CD or NIM installation)? It seems to default to 32MB, but I would like it to be 128MB.
Thanks!

IMHO You don't have control on the partition size for the rootvg as far as i know! This will automatically be calculated according to your disk space allocated for rootvg.

Ogniemi,
I ended up making mksysb backup to tape after changing the PP size in image.data file, then restored it back from the tape.
I guess there no way to set the PP size during the initial install of OS.
Thanks!

Have you tried install initial system from NIM?

I think 3 NIM resources would be enough to do it:

- spot
- lpp_source
- customized image_data

Good idea Ogniemi!
I will remember to include the customized image.data on my next NIM install.
Thanks

Good solution ogniemi! Have another star for this.

Regards,
Khalid
