Hi,

How can I view the physical disk layout in linux? Not a df -k to show the partitions, but how many disk and of what size are present on the machine.

A bit like windows when you go to computer manager and look up disk manager.

Thanks.

Once you know which drives (/dev/hda, hdb, hdc...) then run
hdparm -I /dev/hda

That should be more info than you need.

If you are looking for a graphic representation, Qtparted should give you what you are looking for. You can see each disk, and each partition, including size, format, etc.
