Physical Address Trouble - someone help me!

Hi !
I recently purchased a dell d600 laptop that has a Broadcom 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller. Everytime I boot my laptop the physical address is set to FF FF FF FF FF FF due to which I loose access to internet. However when i uninstall and reinstall the network card the physical address changes and shows the real one and internet starts working. It is however lost everytime i reboot my laptop.
Can someone help me fix this please.

You should also contact Dell. This is not right and likely it is a driver issue that has been resolved.

Dell would not help since it was an out of warranty laptop. Still can't change the Physical Address. Have also tried the latest drivers for NIC but no success.
any other suggestions please?
