Hello,
Is it possible to make a PHP script which does the following when it runs.
1. Creates a code
2. the code gives access to a page for one hour/dag/month, then you'll have to buy a new code to keep get access to the page.

(the scipts if for selling midi files and should give acces to the files one hour after the purchase)

How hard is it? - I'm a newbie.

Best Regards

Yes, it's possible. It wouldn't not difficult for someone who at least knows programming well, but for a complete newbie, it'd probably be quite a project.

However, once the person has access the first time, the file is downloaded on their computer somewhere, and you can't control them finding it and playing it as they wish.

I would recommend a database solution. It would hold data in a table with valid codes and expiration times. Everytime someone accesses the table you can clean out the expired codes.
You should allow people to create their own username and password which then is linked to the account with the particular expiration date.

As trollacious says, for a newbie maybe a bit of work.
