PHP refuses to load mySQL extentions?

Hi,

I have PHP v5.2.14 running on my windows XP machine via IIS v5.1

I've installed mySQL v5.1 community server but I cannot get anything in PHP to work with it?

I tried to install wordpress and phpmyadmin both error with..

Cannot load mysql extension.

I have the DLL's , I've set the system variables PATH & PHPRC to point to C:\PHP, I've changed the php.ini so the extentions are loaded and the path is C:\PHP\ext

Why won't it work?

Well usually people moan if you post a PHP question in a non-PHP forum, or a sql question in a non-SQL forum etc..

I decided that as I am not current;y having aproblem with wordpress, as it is phpMyAdmin I'm trying to get to work, I assumed this was a PHP problem not a wordpress problem?

Now I'm totally confused, what exactly is causing the problem, is it PHP?

it is neither php nor wordpress. but the way in which you have installed mysql.

i will continue to help on the wordpress thread, should you wish.

Though I've been told it's PHP not loading the extension on the WordPress forum.
