I'm using windows XP 64 bit on my development machine. I have tried installing PHP on it and I can't get it to work. However, when I had it installed on my 32 bit version of XP it worked fine.

Does anyone know if PHP will not run on the 64 bit version? If so, is there any special configuration that has to be made to get it to work?

i believe that you need to configure IIS to run in 32bit mode.
or you need to use unofficial php binaries compiled in 64bit (or you could compile php yourself in 64 bit mode (with all its libraries).

from a brief double check on my memory, no windows 64bit official ditro of php (or apache) exists.
