Hello All,

I switching to PHP from ASP and I'm looking for a code editor. I used to use TextPad for java coding and I really liked it. I'm not looking for some super GUI'fied interface. Any suggestions? -Pete

Hi Pete

I use PHPCoder from for PHP development. It has integrated debugging (step-by-step) which I find invaluable.

On the negative side it has many bugs, but I have tried all the other tools and PHPCoder still has the best debugging, besides, I have learnt to work around the bugs.

There is also PHPEdit at which is a tool under active development, although unlike PHPCoder it does not have remote debugging (yet).

Cheers
Richard
