hi, is LAMP for web sites only?? I have yet to hear an accounting system deployed using LAMP.. has anyone?? or it's not advisable because it's for web sites only??

how about application system like inventory, A/R, accounting.. of course using 3rd party for reporting tools.. and probably 3rd party for GUI to implement order/detail (one-to-many) scenario.

any comments, suggestions might enlighten me....

You can do all sorts of interesting things with LAMP.

For accounting packages, there's CK-Ledger (
