Hi,

I installed RH 8.0 and after review the forum I also installed the php-mysql.rpm but I still can not get my php files to work. The error message is fatal error undefine function "mysql_connect" on line 9 of the file.

I ran a php getinfo file and I can see that the mysql= shared/'USR. Any suggestion. I seems that the mysql commands are not active yet the other php commands work.

What can I do to test or change the configuration?

Look for a line in php.ini:

extension = mysql.so

Make sure it's uncommented. --

I uncemmmented theline in php.ini: extension = mysql.so and rebooted just to be safe. Still get fatal error undefined function for mysql_connect()command.

I started with a RD 7.1 with Mysql installed as a rpm file that I downloaded from Mysql.com. I upgraded to RH 8.0 and had to work through the Apache 1.3 to 2.0 changes. I am just geeting to the mysqland php supported features.
