I'm baffled and fed up. One of our users has a photosmart 7550 printer and a dell d600 latitude running windows 2000. OS has all the patches.
When installing the Photosmart 7550 the first time, I got an error message concerning java. So I reinstalled the ms virtual machine and downloaded sun's java. Uninstall and reinstall the photosmart and no error this time. The thing has never printed with this laptop. I know its not a hardware issue because the card slots on the printer work and the printer works connected to another laptop.
I did notice on the other laptop that there is an icon in the system tray besides the "disk" icon.
I've tried everything I can think of and I'm getting nowhere. Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?
