Photosmart 2710 all-in-one

I am using the HP Photosmart 2710 all-in-one. When black ink is printed, at appears like each letter/ number is printed twice so it looks like there is a shadow. THe text is blurry. Is there away to correct this. TIA TOM

It could be that the text is just not filled in all the way
Color text okay? Clean the black printhead by placing on a soft paper towel with iso alcohol.Draw straight down a couple of times. Look at it to see if it has any cross-lines. Replace.
