When I go "save for web" and I select GIF, PNG, or anything. The Transparency option is grayed out. I can't select. I can't figure out how to get it to turn on. Pleace help.

May sound silly but in the 'save for web' dialogue box have you got the Transparency option checked?

I solved the problem. There was no transparency in the image so I couldn't check the tranparency box. I thought I could select a color to become transparent, but that was not true. Once I made part of the image transparent, the "transparency" option was available. A simple solution that took forever to find. Just goes to show how a simple assumption can create huge problems.
