I can't figure out why Photoshop (6.0) doesn't center the images when printing, even though the "center" box is checked. Any suggestions or tips?

don't print with photoshop..it is not designed to be a output program..i reccomend you use quark or pagemaker..some say indesign is cool as well , but i haven't used that yet so i can't say..

I print an image when I've finished work on a new "creation" and they're always centred side to side but not top and bottom.

Carl as I understand this question it's not final 4 color printing they are trying to do (if it is... see Carls post above!). Seems to me like you all are just trying to print something like photos or "creations" for display or portfolio or something. If that is the case you don't need a program like InDesign or Pagemaker. In fact you will have a hard time printing from them if you don't have a postscript printer.

Guys this totally depends on the printer you are using. Check out the Page Setup options. If it's an Epson (which it sounds like) you want to change from "Maximum" print area to "Centered".

BTW... InDesign is ok.. I still like Pagemaker better though :)

I hope that helps. Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
