I can't seem to create anything that keeps layers for when working with PDFs.

What I wanted was to have layers that I can control in InDesign. So I can save that as a .psd, but as we all know that .psd rasterises vectors on output. The only way to preserve vectors is with pdf. So I created a PDF with layers. Opened it up in Acrobat, View>Navigation>Layers, nothing. Placed it in InDesign, nothing.

What is going on? Can I? Will the computer?

...pdf layers from photoshop are only intelligent enough for photoshop, unlike from illustrator...

...until adobe sort that one out, stick vectors to illustrator or indesign, wherever possible, or save to photoshop pdf and convert text to shape layers, otherwise text can rasterise...

...the other option is eps from photoshop, but your stuffed if you re-open that again in photoshop...
