Photoshop loads but crashes when i open or select new

Photoshop loads no problems,
But when i open a new file or click new it goes non responsive and crashes.... Can you assist me please..

Try resetting your preferences for Photoshop.

Press Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Windows) or Shift+Command+Option (Mac) while starting Photoshop.

Still exactly the same
Whenever i click new or open still crashes

What version of Photoshop? ...what operating system? ...what hardware? ...what type of network are you on? ...what other details could you provide?
