photoshop initialization freeze...HELP!!! 2

I have Photoshop 7.0 and just the other day I opened it up and then it just shut down. It gets to the initialization stage of booting up and just kicks itself off. This has happened once before and a friend of mine (pro photoshoper) did some sort of shortcut key combination at start-up and fixed it all. But I don't remember what he did. HELP !!!

If you're on a pc hold down ctrl+shift+alt when starting Photoshop. Then you'll reset your preferences, and everything should work again.

On mac I guess it's cmd+alt+shift but I'm not certain.
