I'm a webdesigner who sometimes design for printing. I always wonder... am I able to use a regular web picture (for a flyer or cd design) and still get the same quality as a high dpi pic after printing>? is there any trick I could use to utilize a regular web pic (low in dpi) for a press design?

**when ever I take a pic from the web and blow it up to 300dpi (ready to print resolution) I always get blurs and different colors from the original. What do you guys suggest I could do to get a crispy printing design?

Still looking for that question to ask!!

Short and simple the answer is NO. For the web us use low resolution compressed pictures for print you use high resolution, there is no way of converting a low resolution picture to high resolution. The best thing I could suggest is that you keep all of your pictures in high resolution ready for print and when you do web design convert the pictures to a lower resolution for the web.

ok sounds good. Any Idea where to find high resolution pics (ei. Sexy female, objects) on the web for free?

I'm also looking for a tutorial on how to edit pics? (ei. edit people's skin "silk skin" like the way the do now on days for models). yes?
