photoshop eps file

Hi when i save my ps eps files to import into indesign, they show up as being freehand eps files. I have unistalled freehand, (i didn't use it anyway) what else do i need to do e.g changing the phtoshop settings so all eps file are opened in photoshop.

any help is very much appreciated

You need to change the file association. (assuming you are on windows) Open aan explorer window. Click on Tools->Folder Options. Click on the FIle Types tab.Scroll down to find the eps extension. Highlight the line with the eps extension and click on the change button. In the open with window that opens, select PhotShop. Click OK to close all of the windows.

if you want to change all .eps to open in photoshop, open a folder and go to tools > folder options > file types
look for EPS file type, select it and click Change, then select photoshop from the pop up list.

Anyone know how a re-association is done on the Mac OS?

select the file
apple + i
then go to the "open with" section
change the program, and check the box for it to be applied to all files with that file extension
