I have a Photoshop CS saved eps file placed in InDesign CS. It disappears when I choose overprint preview. When I print it appears to be flattening the image but it doesn't print. It prints fine from Photoshop but it won't print from InDesign, even when I place it into a new and empty InDesign CS file.

There are no overprint settings applied and the image is not set to be non-printing. Any ideas?

Does this need to be EPS? How does it work if you save as TIFF and PSD and place in InDesign?

Wonderful. It works as a tif and a psd.

Any idea why an eps won't work?

I can't offer an idea why an EPS would work. Unless you are assigning a spot color and must use EPS, the file format is too bloated to be useful for photos. A LZW-compressed TIFF is ideal. If transparency is needed, a PSD or PDF is good.
