Photoshop Elements 3 ... damaged catalogs; won't open

Apparently my catalogs got damaged and now I cannot open the organize and I cannot create a new catalog.

Here is the message:

There was a problem opening the catalog named "My-Catalog-1".

Another user or application may have the catalog open, or one or more files may be missing, out of date, or damaged.

The ODBC data source reported the following error:

"[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified."

Attempt to compact and recover this catalog then open again?



Of course, when I click okay, it just goes back to the same error message and I can't get the program open.

So now what do I do?
