Photoshop CS3 Install - Unique Problem

I am at a dead end on this one.

My old company bought me Adobe CS3 extended when it first came out. They had also give me a huge second drive. I installed PS CS3 on that drive.

I recently took a new job and had to return the drive and the install discs to my old employer.

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 3. When I install it, it will not install Photoshop CS3 because it says there is a conflict (I guess with remnants of the old install.) I can't uninstall the old version of PS CS3 because the drive is gone.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem? If I run the CS3 Clean up utility do I need to let it remove everything I have already installed?

Have you tried:

Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs >
Remove CS3

That is the first thing that I tried. Since the drive where the installed app was, no longer exists the uninstaller just chokes.

try support, it seems likely that others have had the same 2 disk problem.

Next maybe (backup your registry first) then remove the adobe photoshop entries.

btw adobe suggests (if you still have 2 disks) to load the app on C and the workspace on D
