Photoshop CS2 Sluggish

Since I switched to PS CS2, it seems very sluggish. Sometimes when I click on open or a tool or just about anything, photoshop seems to go off somewhere and doesn't respond for several minutes. I even installed the latest update from the adobe website to no avail. Anybody have any clues? Thank you.

The best place to start is to check your PC Status?

Tell us about your PC...size, memory diskspace etc.

If you have a PC try the following.
If you have a MAC maybe someone else can assist.

How much memory is avail while running PShop?
(Ctrl Alt Del) click Task Manager click performance tab to see memory usage and availability.

When was last time you did a disk cleanup?
Start > All programs > Accessories > system Tools > Disk Cleanup

When was last time you did a disk Defragment?
Start > All programs > Accessories > system Tools > Disk Defragment
