Photoshop Actions help

For some reason PS7 is not recognizing "actions" from others, that work on their computers. They are in the Photoshop/Presets/Photoshop Actions folder with all the other actions, yet they don't show up in the Actions Pallet in Photoshop. All the "default" .atn files are there as well as two that I developed myself. All of them work! What am I missing?

Have you tried to load them manually? Click (or is it a right-click) on the little right facing arrow to the right of the Actions tab and there should be a menu pop up with browse or open on it...
