I have been using Adobe photoshop 7 for about 3 months on a new laptop running windows 7. This weekend I have been unable to resize the photos. Everything else works. The image size menu comes down but it will not let me change the numbers. I can move the portable drive to another computer, open the same photo & size it with no problem. I uninstalled & reinstalled photoshop 7 with no change. Any thoughts? thanks alazlo

Maybe your preferences need to be reset to their install state, they sometimes get "hosed" and strange happen.

While holding down the [Ctrl Alt Shift ] keys, Start > All Programs > Photoshop.

A MessageBox will ask "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings File" to which you answer Yes.

The Preferences file will be rebuilt and hopefully your problem is fixed.

Good Luck

Thanx Sam,
I actually have uninstalled & re installed the program to no avail. There are two other users on this laptop.Resize works on both of their pages. Mine is the only one that will not allow me to resize.. alazlo

I believe uninstall and reinstall may not solve the problem since the old corrupted preferences file may still remain on your system.

I would try my suggestion anyway, it can't hurt.

Good Luck

Sam
