I just installed new Photoshop 6 on my notebook (Dell Latitude, Pentium II, 128 RAM) and it is extremely slow. At least three-four times slower than the old 5.5. For example, it takes 15-20 seconds just redraw the picture when I do zoom. Are there some settings to speed up the Photoshop? For example to turn off some extras? FYI, I put cache on 85% for Photoshop usage (and experiminted with other values, but with little gain). Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have exactly the same problem. Looking forward to someone answering!

Yes, there are some standard answers:
PhS and OS on C:\ .
PhS scratch file on a different harddisk,
preferable on the first logical partition,
because the access is expected faster.
Windows Swap file with fixed size, about
double RAM size. ---Gernot
