Right i dont know what i have done, i recently got rid of the login prompt on win 98 because i wasnt on a network, my pc seemed hunky dory till i went to use photo editor i get windows installer come up for know reason then the following message 'the windows installer failed to install the program associated with this file. please contact your system administrator.' so i then decided maybe i should just reinstall office so i put the cd in and it searches the floppy drive no ideda why it then gave me this message 'this patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and thay you can access it, or contact the application vendor the verify that this is a valid windows installer patch' i then loaded up the rest of office it seems to work so i clicked on the instmsi file and it tells me its configured does this mean i need to reinstall windows and everything or somehow get login to work
