Photo Slideshow

Hi, Firstly I am new to flash. What I am trying to do is create a image slide show, where 1 photo fades into another. I can manage to do this ok but when I play the movie I get a kink in each image when it hits the keyframe? also does anyone know of any tutorials for making image slideshows like this.. I have searched and searched but can't find anythink. Thanks for any help... Garry

Which version of flash are you using? Because if it's MX, it has a very appealing photo slideshow built in.

Simply select File>New From Template. Then choose the PhotoSlideShow and press create, follow the onscreen instructions and you're done.

Thanks, I d/l the trial of MX but the slideshow template wasn't what I was after. I wanted each image to fade into the next using alpha. I tried it in MX as well but still get the kink, I guess I will have to use the javascript method instead.

all you have to do is this..layer one..have an image in the frame one..tween it to frame ten..99% alpha to 1%..layer two..an image in frame one that is 1% alpha..tween it to frame ten as well ending in 99% alpha..

adjust the frame length to suit the speed you need..

Never mind, the problem was that it is alpha 100% not 99%, I should have read your post more closely virt2002 thanks. Now to work out how to pause the movie, may be back for another question in a few days if nothing turns up by search
