HI,
we are working with passport size photos in a resume.
Problem is we are using photos which are stored in the database as blob datatype.
some of the photos are displaying in correct size which was setup at the time of designing, some of them are minimize themself into very small size. (strink)

All photos are working prefect in CR, but after published in CE 8.5 the size was changed.
Note: The photo size in the db are almost same (4k).

And also we have another problem, at the time of justification. If we justify the long text field like "Comments" , the last char. of each line was cut off in each line.

Thanks in adv. for repalies/suggesions.

Thanks,
MK

i am trying to link photos from a folder to some data from a database table. You refered to this but perhaps you could help me to do it. I am linking sku numbers to .jpg photos with the same number (ie. sku 72012 with photo 72012.jpg).
Could you tell me how to do this in Crytal Reports (i'm using 9.0).
Thanks

Try creating a new post, people rarely respond to year old posts.

You can use a hyperlink in your database as the image source.

If you have the path (use a UNC path to assure other resources can hit the same drive), and say just the file name in your database, right click the field and select format field->Hyperlink->A File and in the X2 next to File Name place something like:

"\\machine\path\" & {table.filename}

Or if it already contains the path, just drop it in. The the user can right click the field and select Goto Hyperlink to view it.

Thanks for replying to an old message.

In the above formula you refer to a "table" that holds the photos. The photos are actually in a folder as individual .jpg's not in a table. So how to cross reference a table with a folder of photos?

TO explain further, I have item numbers (sku)in a database of say inventory or sales of that sku. I want to find the photo that has the same reference number and display it beside the item number automatically.
Does this make sense?

Header would like like this
sku - stock on hand - image
12345 x (12345.jpg)

You cannot do what you are attempting with Crystal 8.5, 9.0, or 10.0.

The only version that will pull photos from a folder is Crystal XI.

To haev them show in a report, upgrade, but as I stated, you can link to them and jump to the image.
