When using IE to get hotmail there is a message that wants to make me join MSN of sorts. I'm not sure this is a legal Microsoft Web page. If I use Mozilla to get hotmail I don't get the message and it goes to my hotmail address. Has anyone else had this problem?

If by "there is a message that wants to make me join MSN of sorts" you mean the "New to MSN", "Sign Up" bits that appear to the left of the "Sign-in" box, then yes, I do see them.

But I also see the sign-in box on the right, so ignore the content on the left.

When I click on the IE icon on my desktop it is supposed to take me to my home page which is Hotmail. I initially typed in my user name and password as asked for. When I pressed "enter" I was directed to a page entitled "MSN Hotmail - Review and sign the Agreements" I exited and re-tried the home page and went directly to "MSN Hotmail - Review and sign the Agreements" This does not happen when I click on the Mozilla icon which takes me directly to my home page which is my "Hotmail.

Try deleting all of your cookies. I think this question was asked a short while ago, so it may be worth searching the posts for further information.

Hope this helps,

You could try adding the Avant front end onto IE.

Avant has all kinds of options to block unwanted sites, pop-ups, adverts and other downloads.

It also features tabbed windows enabling easy viewing of multiple pages, however it doesn't work well with corporate proxy servers but it's fine for home users.
