I am after a replacement for my wireless home/office phone and it seems sensible to consider VoIP/SIP phones. My requirements would be:
1. Handset base station must plug into normal phone line for landline calls.
2. Base station either connects to PC or direct to router for VoIP calls.
3. Phone can connect to Skype (I need to make free calls to individuals) but also to corporate VoIP solutions such as some of the companies I work with.
4. Handset phone numbers can sync with my Outlook address book like my PDA does (I don't want softphone).
5. A headset can plug into the handset (as my existing phone does) which means that not only can I use both hands on the keyboard while talking, but I can walk around at the same time.
I have had a look round and nothing fits all of the criteria, but I am not sure where technology has got to and which of my list is the least likely to be available.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks.
