In a Merlin Magix, I have an intermittant problem with about 5 of 35 4412D+ phones. These phones at different times cannot park calls, or sometimes can't transfer calls. This just started happening. They are not on the same cards, and I have already changed the processor. What next, Bad software in the flash card???

Very strange. You've seen this and it's not just customer user error??

What version?
Are they trying to transfer over UDP or is this inter-office??

Thanks for your help.
I have been able to duplicate this problem. I wouldn't be able to park a call 5/10 times and after that it would work as designed. It happened more than a few times, but always came back and worked. I have not seen the problem transferring, I'll have to take the cust's word. They are transferring calls interoffice.
It's a Magix 2.2 V7.2
And Yes, it is very strange.

Does hit happen on random ext.'s or just on a particular ext.'s.

touch tone receivers... i've had problems from POTS sets when my DTMF t1's have high usage (we use DNIS on inbound which require touch tone receivers)

Does this happen on incoming or out going calls?

If out going, try dialing a POUND SIGN at the end of the dialing string and see if that changes anything.

Also, does this happen only on certain lines?

Key mode or PBX mode?
Are these pots lines or a T1??

There are about 5-6 stations reporting the trouble. I'm having the customer try and keep track of any particular line this is happening to. So far its only happening on the incoming lines. POTS line in a PBX mode. I didn't question TTR's because the problem is also Park and Hold. The siwtch doesn't use TTR's for Parking and Hold.

POTS extensions do use TTR's for any feature activiation (any dialling)... but I've never worked with the 4412's so I don't know if they're more like plain phones or like mlx's... I was just going to say maybe the trunk hadn't supervised yet, but I just re-read and you sad POTS in PBX.

This may sound a bit silly, but have you tried to swap those phones?? Or at least swap them with other peoples phones to see if the problem follows???

What is your board config in your cabinets??
