My phones tend to reboot about once a day, maybe twice. Then, randomly, it won't be able to grab an IP from DHCP server, which is a Windows 2003 Standard server. We used to use our Firebox router for DHCP, but the IP phones would NEVER grab an IP address from it, which is why we moved DHCP to the server.

Anyone? Also, when the IP phone is set to a static IP, occaisonally it will stop working, until I assign a different static IP address. I am confused??

My Phone shows an "Image Version" of 1.1.5 and a "Phonex Version" of 2.3.3.2. I am running Axxess 9.0 and my IPRC is 9.0.

What's the different between the image version and the Phonex version listed on the IPT's web interface?

Please help. Thanks!

Forgot to mention, the phone model is Inter-Tel 8622.

Hi doktor,

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I posted on that thread, I am "orasun", but the thread is so old it's been abandoned, so I posted a new one:

All of the phones are on static, they work longer than if set to DHCP. When they stop working (i.e. starte rebooting by themselves over and over) I just increment the IP address by one and its fine. I thought it had something to do with DHCP lease, and that's whey they are statically assigned.

Hi ttrsux

OK. Aliases sometime hard to "crack".
We use static IP addresses to our IP phones to make shure they "keep on the track", especially if they are new "ones" reagrding the software.
Later when they have been tested in the field we use DHCP.
(We sell the LG LIP-6812/6830 IP phones for LG-Nortel).

So, if possible, make shure that both your PBX or soft switch and the phones are upgraded to the newest s/w.
