phones for handicap people

Hello guys !

Any of you knows If Mitel has (had) phones developed for handicapped people (blinds or phisicaly handicappeds)?

Not to my knowledge. At least nothing specifically designed for the physically handicapped.

However, I believe the earpiece in the standard handset is hearing aid compatible.

Also someone who is blind should have no trouble using any of the Mitel instruments as all of their legacy instruments have standard DTMF keypads (standard layout geometry). Multiline key appearances (i.e., an attendant's console or receptionist's or admin assistant's position) might pose something of a challenge, however.

I'm thinking in a blind person who act as a acd agent at home. How can advise him, hi is logged. as well I'm thinking in a blind secretary how she can manage a DSS/BLF key

I have ear somewhere they are a special multi line phones (No mitel) which instead leds they have a kind of piston which can be touched by a blind person.
