We are running CM 5.2 and I am trying to program a Crss-alert button on acouple of 9650 phones. The error message I am getting is:
Button type does not meet min or max requirements.
does anyone know what that is all about and how to by pass it?
thanks in advance

I ran into this error and found that you can only have 10 sets with the button. Try removing it from one set and add it to see if the error clears.

Hope this helps

Note - there is a green feature from Avaya that will expand the amount of crisis alert button assignments you can have (I believe it is over 200). Check with Avaya or your Business Partner...I believe the # is SA8608.

SA8608 - Increase Crisis Alert Buttons S8700 only
Currently, CM is limited to 10 Crisis Alert stations on the S8700 platform.
(This is in addition to the 28 Attendant Console capacity), each of whom may
have a Crisis Alert button. This enhancement will expand the capabilities of the
S8700 platform to allow for up to 250 total Crisis Alert stations.

Awesome Info thank you very much. I just love this site.
I was not aware that there were limits on the Crss-alert button.
Appreciate your knowledge.

You should be able to change this and activate the SA

Thanks Avaya Tier3 I pulled up the change system-parameters like you suggested and I do not have (SA8608) as an option. I do have (SA7409b) Enhanced Emergency Alert is that the same?
Also there is a warning at the top that says any changes to these fields could result in unpredictable system behavior. Do I need to be concerned.
thanks again.

Avaya Tier3 sorry shot the answer too soon. I did find what you said to change. Question still. Do I need to be concerned about the warning.
thanks again

You can ignore the warning for turning on this feature.
