Hi All

I have an annoying problem that i cant seem to get to the bottom of. I had an issue where i didnt have enough phone licenses. I had 18 licneses and 20 users. I purchased two extra licenses and installed them but one avaya 9611 phone will not come out of its 'unlicensed' state. It reboots, says the extension number and 'phone unlicensed' next to it. I have no clue what could be causing this.

Ive reboooted the phone

installed new licenses

reset phone to factory default

rebooted avaya server

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated

thanks

Sounds like a phantom extension with "reserve license" enabled or a configured IP DECT extension you don't use. DECT extensions consume a license regardless if they are registered or not!

Thanks. I actually had to delete the user, extension and reboot so it was finally in a not logged in stated as the user no longer existed and then log it in as a different extension. I was then able to recreate the user and log back in
