Phone Type Set for Operator

I have a Merlin Legend System. What type of phoneset would be ideal for an operator. Can you use an MLX28L or a MLX28D as a console phone? How about an MLX16 for a small site? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

The MLX20L is the ideal phone. That way, you can program the system from that telephone. Both MLX16DP and MLX28D's would work fine, but you wouldn't be able to do any programming except through winspm. In emergency situations, it can be helpful to know you can make changes from the operator telephone even if you do utilize winspm.
