Hi people,
till yesterday I knew that Caller Id (CLIP) could be displayed on phone sets that were attached to ALC-G cards, with the 65 facility enabled.
By accident, I noticed yesterday that an old Siemens Euroset 5020 with power supply, attached to an older card ALC-E01 could display the caller ID as well. Besides a normal Philips Baseline Pro phone set (for example) does not display it.
I was astonished. Someone told me that a DECT phone (which also comes with power supply) could also display the Caller Id.
Has anybody idea how does this happen? Does anybody know
which from the phone sets in the market might work likewise?

** The new model of Euroset 5020 - without the power supply - does not work.

Thanks in advance,
kalchas

Hi,

it´s quite simple.
Siemens works with FSK
Philips is based on the ETSI standard

Both protoclos can be handeled from ALC-E upwards.
If you need also message waiting you have to take an ALC-F or ALC-G.
