Phone paging lock up

Recent problems with phone paging lock ups and users just getting busy signals. This happens about once per week. Bogen DFT 120 connected through trunk. Doing a status on the trunk when locked shows in-service active but shows no connected ports. A busy and release fixes the problem but I'd like to solve the problem. The question is-- Is there a recommended Avaya configuration for phone paging? EG. Using trunks or paging modules and program settings? Any help is greatly appreciated

Hardware platform? Definity / CM Software version?

Speakerphone paging groups are internal to the pbx and do not use loudspeaker paging programming
or external paging amplifiers. These first loads to introduce the feature had many bugs and locked
up to busy, quite often. Command: reset system 2 (or higher should start them working again)

This is overhead paging not speakerphone paging. Running G450 on CM 6.3. Again my question is -- Is there a recommended Avaya configuration for overhead phone paging? EG. Using trunks or paging modules and program settings?

Do you have disconnect supervision activated on the TG?

Another thing: You could reprogram this is as a loopstart station. Make sure to adjust the paging equipment accordingly.

To answer your question directly: This system is compatible with all types of paging. I don't know if Avaya has ever had an official recommendation, but I know they offer rebranded Bogen equipment.

I had the same issue where I worked before. I never got a permanent fix ! Just had to o the busy / rel just like you. Please make sure to update the board if you do find a fix.

Disconnect supervision is turned off. I get a warning message when turning it on, so I left it off (WARNING: Setting this field to "y" may result in trunk lock-ups)

Are you saying I could set this up as a regular station? Any specific program settings on the station?
