Phone manager / Soft Phone

I loaded my phone manager when I was NOT connected to the system. When I connect through my VPN I get "unliscenced" until I configure the PBX settings at which time it goes to PM lite. I do have a valid PM pro and softphone liscence on the IP office (small office ed). The lite works fine to manipulate extensions, however I am trying to get pro and eventually a softphone working. Any tips on what I may have missed. (or maybe an article or cheat sheet for setting this up) I have read everything I can get my hands on and am not finding much.

Tick Box in each Manager - USER settings defaults to Phone Manager LITE.
