Phone Manager Problem

hi all

we have just installed ip office and are having a few problems with the phone manager pro software with tapi to outlook
for some reason it crashes the system on a quite a few users pc, and they have to use task manager to kill the phone manager
on some it makes our ERP program hang but when phone manager is killed it works again
i have diasbled anti virus to see if this was the problem and other stuff, but it still hangs now and again
the version of phone manager is 2.1.7

any ideas

what OS are you running of the PC
Windows XP with service pask 2 can cause numerous problems due to the win xp firewall

this happens on both win2K and XP

I've just installed PhoneManager and SoftConsole on a XP Pro machine and it has screwed the TCP/IP Stack - their IT support guys have had to uninstall Phone Manager and rebuild the stack. Think they only have SP1 on.

I am saying it's something with their OS install, and the IT lot are sayingit's PhoneManager. Don't suppose this has happened to anyone else?

another thing that can cause problems is firewall clients/personal firewalls.
I have also seen novelle cause intermitant problems with phone manager

i have managed to narrow this down abit
i seems that when the phone manager pops up with an incoming call, that it freezes now and again
if i turn the popup off for evrything, phone manager runs ok
but the user has to manually open it to see what calls have been missed
