Have an end user issue. When the user logs off her PC and shuts it down. Closes out of all programs even Phone manager pro that is tied to her IP ext. Her phone defaults to the no user profile. In the phone manager pro config tab. I went to PBX and unchecked the log in / log out box under her info and switch IP addy. Then when I try to log her back into manager I get an user name / password error. I wiped out the password also tried changing it in her user profile on the switch. Is there a setting I'm missing so I can keep her phone up while her phone manager is shut down?

Thanks in advance for everyones help!

See is using Phonemanager as an agent and is logging in and out the phone.

Make sure it untikked before she logs in.

• Logging On:
This button is not active if you are using Phone Manager Lite.
If you want to logon with a different extension number from that of the physical extension,
click on Login>>. Check Login/Logout and select the number of the Base Extension at
which you want to log on. When you start Phone Manager, you will be logged on at the
Base Extension but with the number associated with your User Name. When you close
Phone Manager you will be logged off and the phone will revert to its Base Extension
number.

Shes not an agent or anything. Shes just using the phone manager pro for some of its features. Her ext is Stephanie 3374 on her IP phone at her desk. When she shuts down the phone manager pro with the login as Stephanie 3374. It bumps her IP phone to no user 3374. I was hoping to find a way that when she shuts down her PC. She would still be able to get calls on her IP phone Stephanie 3374.

Thanks

Big 70 is telling you why it happens. If you work in an office that has multiple people sitting at a single desk throughout the day, this log in feature will have the phone take over the extension of whom ever logs into the computer with phone manager on it. In your situation, someone mistakenly ticked the Login feature on the phonemanager program. Tell your user to click on Configure, then PBX, then make sure that Login is not ticked on.

if she has accidently ticked the log in box then this will happen.
get her to start phone manager and tick log in to another extn(ie not her extn number)
Once started her user is now logged on to a different phone.
Shut down phone manager. This will log her off the other phone and default her user back onto her phone.
Now restart phone manager with log in unticked.

An easy solution.

Remove the "Login" from the PBX folder.
Shutdown Phone Manager.
When her phone says "NoUser", use the "Log In Extn" shortcode. In this case: *35*3374*#.
The phone should now be back up.

And she's off!

If this is still an issue, you may need to uninstall and reinstall Phone Manager taking care not to tick logoff on shutdown option.

@colpot

It's easier to go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Avaya\IP400\PhoneManagerand change "LoginLogout" to 0. (In PM version prior to 3.0)

In version 3.0 and onwards, go to
Documents and Settings\(User)\Documents\Avaya\IP 400\PhoneManager\Profile
and find the users xml-file, and change "LoginLogout" to 0

Then start Phone Manager, and it should be OK.
